Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Troy, Alabama seeks an Early Career Production Test Engineer to support PCBAs/CCAs, electronic subsystems, and AUR missile testing. You will work with PCB testing, test equipment, and tests to improve yield and efficiency.

You will collaborate with production technicians, design engineers and QA to resolve issues, document results, and drive improvements in test coverage and cycle time while learning best practices in test development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
  • Early Career eligibility as stated in the job description.
  • Experience with test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • US Citizenship, eligible for Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support automated test equipment (ATE) systems and software improvements.
  • Troubleshoot test failures at board and system level using standard lab tools.

Standard Job Description Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Troy, Alabama is seeking a motivated Early Career Production Test Engineer to join our Air Dominance Test Engineering team. You will support the testing of printed circuit board assemblies / circuit card assemblies (PCBAs / CCAs), electronic subsystems, and All Up Round (AUR) Missile testing, helping to maintain efficient production flows while learning best practices in test development and troubleshooting. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with production technicians, senior test engineers, design engineers, and quality teams to identify and resolve issues, improve test processes, and contribute to first-pass yield goals. Our team is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of test systems, and you will play a key role in providing technical support, test equipment improvements, and troubleshooting expertise.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting test systems, providing technical expertise, and driving improvements to test equipment and software. You will work with a range of technologies, including TestStand®, LabVIEW®, and CVI®, to control signal generation and measurement tools, conduct Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), and functional testing.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Execute and monitor production test processes, including functional testing, boundary scan, environmental stress screening (ESS), and system level verification
  • Troubleshoot test failures at the board and system level using standard electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies)
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining test procedures, work instructions, and fixtures to support efficient and repeatable production testing
  • Analyze test data and failure trends to identify root causes of defects in collaboration with engineering and quality items
  • Support the debugging and repair of test equipment, fixtures, and software to minimize downtime in the production line
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test coverage, reduce cycle time, and improve overall product yield and quality
  • Document test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in accordance with company quality management systems
  • Provide technical support to production operators and technicians during daily operation
  • Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate design-for-test (DFT) principles into new product introductions (NPI)
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline. Considered Early Career.
  • Coursework in software developement (C++, C#, Python, or equivalent)
  • General understanding of test equipment such as Digital Multimeters (DMM), oscilloscopes, and power supplies
  • US Citizen, eligible for Security Clearance (or has an active security clearance).
Desired Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Lab or Internship experience troubleshooting circuits
  • Lab or Internship experience working with automated Data Aquisition (DAQ)
  • Passion for supporting our Nation's Defense and working on cutting edge missile technologies
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00
