Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to direct a team within the AVSI METL department. This on-site role supports the Sentinel Program with maturation, requirements analysis, verification planning, and technical direction.

The candidate will lead up to 15 engineers, split time between management and hands-on program work, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives and maintain high performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s of Science in a STEM field and at least 8 years of related experience or Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years; must have current Sentinel Special Access Program (SAP) approval
1+ year of experience with Agile, JIRA, Confluence, DOORS or Cameo.

Responsibilities

Direct a Systems Engineering group of up to 15 engineers and perform productive work on programs
Balance formal oversight with hands-on program responsibilities (~20% admin, ~80% technical)
Lead system architecture, requirements development/management, verification planning, design/analysis, modeling & simulation, MBSE, IPT/product owner leadership, or other technical functions.
