Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Software Engineering 2 for its Roy, UT location to support the Sentinel program. This dual-hat role combines functional management with program responsibilities, including staffing, recruiting, and leading a team of system software engineers in a Safety-Critical context.

The position requires a Secret clearance, a strong background in C++/Python, MBSE, and experience with Agile methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related software development experience or master’s with 6 years of experience; 4 additional years may substitute for degree.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance, current and within scope, with ability to obtain SAP
• Experience with Agile principles incluindo Kanban and Scrum
• Experience in software development using languages such as C++, Python
• Experience with MBSE, software design and requirement management
• Familiarization with DO178 and the software development lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software/system applications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers in embedded systems for safety and mission critical software.
• Work with an Agile team to meet milestones and maintain compliance.
• Ensure software standards and compliance criteria are met.
• Contribute to the CI tool chain development and maintenance
