Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineers to join the Aeronautics Systems Sector Intern Program in Melbourne, FL. Interns will participate in a summer program to develop competencies in Systems Engineering specializations such as MBSE, Requirements Engineering, Modeling & Simulation, and more.

The role includes hands-on activities across the full system lifecycle, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to gain exposure to government and industry practices. U.S.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduating after August 2026.
• Major in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Systems Engineering or related STEM field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

• Perform system engineering activities for all levels of a total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Work with other system, software, hardware, test, and quality teams to coordinate and integrate the development process and engineering efforts.
• Learn to systematically integrate, assemble, and verify lower-level system elements into higher-level system elements, until the system itself is realized.
