Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program in Melbourne, FL. You will join a dynamic, people-focused team and work across engineering disciplines to develop and test innovative systems.

The program offers real-world experience in constructing, calibrating, and evaluating components, with opportunities to interact with users and customers. A U.S. government Top Secret clearance is required for start.

Qualifications

Be enrolled full-time in Fall 2026 in an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full-time in Fall 2026.
Major in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks Summer 2027.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.
Final approved interim Top Secret clearance may be required to start.
Preferred GPA 3.25/4.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
