Job summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator to support the testing, integration, installation, administration, troubleshooting, and sustainment of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support for complex integrated systems in laboratory, shipboard, and shore-based environments.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in IT, systems engineering, system administration, or similar.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows-based systems.
• Experience installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software.
• Experience diagnosing system failures and identifying corrective actions.
• Ability to develop and execute technical test procedures or test scripts.
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, hardware, software, and integrated IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Recommend hardware and software configurations to support testing and evaluation of agency systems.
• Perform system administration for operations analysis and simulation systems and Windows platforms.
• Develop and execute test scripts for system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Respond to trouble tickets, casualty reports, and other system failures.
• Analyze and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues; perform repairs and restorations.
• Identify root causes and propose short- and long-term corrective actions.
• Evaluate hardware, software, and network configurations and suggest design improvements.
• Recommend improvements to enhance performance, availability, security, and reliability.
• Support installation, integration, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, testing, operations, and other teams to resolve issues and support deployment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
