Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Tactical Recon & Strike division to drive safety-critical product development for autonomous systems and propulsion projects. This role requires strong systems thinking, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on verification in a fast-paced defense environment.

Primary responsibilities include leading risk reduction, performing hazard analyses, and coordinating tests across program milestones, with eligibility for a Secret U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in defense or safety-critical industry with hazard analysis and verification.
• Experience writing verifiable system-level and software/hardware requirements.
• Experience conducting PHAs, SHAs, FMECAs, FTAs.
• Experience with systems and Python; familiarity with MIL-STD and STANAG guidance.

Responsibilities

• Drive system architecture and safety, reliability, and diagnosability for core products like Altius and Ghost.
• Collaborate with product leads to scope, staff, and deliver capabilities with business lines.
• Lead engineering teams to drive risk reduction and verification/validation strategies.
• Conduct SHAs and FMECAs to enforce safety-centric requirements.
• Coordinate tests from in-lab simulations to flight tests.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards for safety and interoperability.
