Job summary

Velocity1 is seeking a Systems Engineer to deliver planned deployments, refreshes, upgrades, and migrations while providing strong Tier 2 support. The role emphasizes quality, validation, and clean handoff, with close collaboration to improve standards and documentation.

You will work in an office setting with remote support into client environments, performing hands-on staging and testing as part of contract delivery. Strong customer communication and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT support/implementation experience (MSP experience preferred).
• Proficient in VLANs, subnetting, DHCP/DNS troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows Server and virtualization platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong documentation habits and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned technical work (deployments, refreshes, upgrades, migrations).
• Provide Tier 2 support with focus on quality, validation and handoff.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, VPN basics.
• Triage and resolve Windows Server/AD issues and backups.
• Maintain thorough as‑built documentation and change records.
• Communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders.
