Job summary

Velocity Technologies is seeking an experienced engineer to lead escalations and projects, set technical standards, and mentor other engineers in the Phoenix area. You will explain technical risk to business leaders and influence budgets and sequencing.

The role covers Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, AD, virtualization, servers, backup, firewalls, and networks. Most positions are hybrid; pay and benefits are disclosed before interviews.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot at a senior level across Microsoft cloud, Windows Server, identity, endpoints, backup and networks.
• Make technical recommendations that business leaders acted on.
• Experience supporting several business environments, MSP or consulting.
• Lead other engineers and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead escalations involving Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, AD, virtualization, servers, backup and recovery, firewalls and networks.
• Write standards for identity, endpoints, servers, backup, firewalls, documentation and hardware lifecycle.
• Give business leaders practical recommendations on risk, budget and sequencing.
• Review project plans, identify root causes, and fix recurring issues.
• Mentor engineers and help desk staff through runbooks and technical reviews.
