Job summary

First Soft Solutions LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer L2 to manage and optimize IT infrastructure in a primarily on-site environment.

You will handle server administration, AD, DNS/DHCP, VMware workloads, security monitoring, backups, and cross-functional support to ensure system stability and performance. This position is based in Jersey City or Lambertville, NJ, on-site five days a week, with 3–5 years experience and multi-year engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong Windows OS administration experience.
• Hands-on with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with VMware virtualization and basic Citrix.
• Proven ability to monitor systems and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support servers, operating systems, and related infrastructure.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and event log monitoring.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, and core IT services.
• Support infrastructure design, deployment, and implementation.
• Monitor security events and respond to incidents.
• Oversee backups and validate disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and resolve system performance issues.
