Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Systems Engineer III Test to lead rocket motor testing efforts in Reno, NV or Folsom, CA. You will design test plans, configure facilities, and supervise teams to ensure safe, compliant campaigns that deliver reliable propulsion and control system verification.

You will coordinate instrumentation, data acquisition, and control system checks, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with a strategic systems department.

Qualifications

• Four to seven years of progressive experience in aerospace/defense test engineering.
• Hands-on experience with rocket motor integration, subsystem verification, and hot-fire test campaigns.
• Proficiency in instrumentation and data acquisition (DAQ) systems, including setup, calibration, wiring and troubleshooting.
• Strong background in test software development and automation and involvement in software and hardware integration activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures and requirements for rocket motor testing and subsystem verification.
• Lead integration and checkout of propulsion, avionics, and control systems in support of rocket motor test campaigns.
• Plan and coordinate pre-test activities, including instrumentation wiring, sensor calibration, control system verification, and DAQ integration.
• Ensure test facilities and support equipment are configured for hot-fire testing.
• Support and lead Test Readiness Reviews to ensure compliance with safety and program requirements.
• Analyze test data, document findings, and provide technical recommendations for anomaly resolution and system improvements.
• Support test software development, HWIL and SWIL environments for propulsion and control system verification.
