Job summary

Voyager Technologies, based in Reno (NV) or Folsom (CA), is seeking a Systems Engineer III – Test to lead rocket motor test campaigns, develop procedures, and mentor junior engineers. The role requires hands-on integration, data analysis and strong written communication for TRRs and reviews.

Ideal candidates will have 4–7 years in aerospace/defense test engineering, experience with MIL‑STD, DAQ, and programming in C/C++, MATLAB, Python and Simulink. Travel to facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field as listed.
• Experience in aerospace/defense test engineering is required.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD and propulsion qualification practices.
• Hands-on hardware integration and data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures and requirements for rocket motor testing and subsystem verification.
• Lead integration and checkout of propulsion, avionics, and control systems in support of rocket motor test campaigns.
• Plan and coordinate all pre-test activities, including instrumentation wiring and sensor calibration.
• Ensure test facilities and support equipment are configured for hot-fire testing.
• Support and lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) to ensure safety compliance.
• Analyze test data and provide recommendations for anomaly resolution.
• Support HWIL/SWIL environments for propulsion verification.
