Job summary

Voyager Technologies, a leader in defense and space tech, seeks a Systems Engineer III – Test to drive rocket motor test campaigns. You will plan, integrate, and execute tests, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with the Strategic Systems Department.

Based in Reno, NV or Folsom, CA with travel as needed. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of aerospace test engineering, strong DAQ and software skills, and a proven track record of successful test operations in HWIL/SWIL environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM fields from an accredited college.
• 4–7 years of progressive aerospace/defense test engineering experience.
• Hands-on rocket motor integration, subsystem verification, and hot-fire campaigns.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD and propulsion qualification standards.
• Experience with HWIL and SWIL environments.
• Proficient in data acquisition, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong writing and communication for test reports and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans for rocket motor testing.
• Lead integration and checkout of propulsion, avionics, and control systems.
• Coordinate pre-test activities including instrumentation wiring and calibration.
• Ensure test facilities are configured for hot-fire testing.
• Support Test Readiness Reviews and safety compliance.
• Analyze test data and recommend improvements.
• Support HWIL and SWIL test software for verification.
