Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Reno or Folsom seeks a Systems Engineer IV Test to lead rocket motor test campaigns, coordinating subsystems and stakeholders. You will mentor junior engineers and apply SE principles to ensure tests align with requirements and performance.

The role demands expertise in C/C++, MATLAB, Python, Simulink and test software/hardware, with strong communication and safety focus. Travel to test facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering field from an accredited university.
• 7–10 years in test engineering within propulsion or aerospace domains.
• Experience with rocket motor integration and testing.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills across multiple teams.
• Proven ability to work under high-pressure test environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and mission-focused teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and test activities for rocket motor systems from prep to post-test analysis.
• Develop, maintain and standardize test plans and data collection strategies.
• Oversee SWIL/HWIL test software and hardware development.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.
• Communicate test status and issues to management and customers.
• Ensure safety and engineering standards compliance during tests.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes and tools.
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews and technical reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve test anomalies.
• Apply systems engineering to align tests with program requirements.
