Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver is seeking a systems engineer to own requirements decomposition, verification planning, and traceability for a defined subsystem of the Human Landing System. You will produce verification evidence and contribute to safety analyses with the team, using Jama, Windchill and DOORS to manage the baseline.

Travel up to 10% is expected for cross-site coordination; relocation is provided. Interviews will include a technical assessment as part of the process.

Qualifications

  • BS in aerospace, systems or related engineering; advanced degree may substitute part of experience
  • 2–5 years in an engineering/technical role with systems-level problem solving
  • Ability to own a scoped requirements or verification effort with oversight
  • Working knowledge of requirements traceability, verification methods, and interface documents (ICDs/IRDs)
  • Experience with Jama, DOORS; comfort with tool-driven workflows
  • U.S. citizenship/nationality or eligible residency requirements for the role

Responsibilities

  • Own requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability for a scoped area of the system with oversight from senior engineers
  • Produce verification & validation products and closure evidence for that scope
  • Contribute to system safety analyses (hazard analyses, FMECA/FTA) and disposition variances
  • Identify and communicate technical risks and design changes needed to close them
  • Develop technical plans for your scope and support project planning inputs
  • Contribute to tool and process improvements and automate manual steps in the V&V workflow
  • Maintain the baseline in Jama/Windchill and keep current through release cycles
  • Present work to the team and program or customer
