Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state seeks a Systems Engineer on the System Definition & Certification team to decompose requirements, produce verification evidence, and support safety analyses for the Human Landing System scope. You will work with Jama, DOORS, and Windchill while coordinating with senior engineers, ensuring traceability and timely design changes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, systems, or related engineering field; advanced degree may substitute part of experience.
• 2–5 years of engineering/technical experience with systems-level problem solving; exposure to requirements, verification, or system safety.
• Experience with requirements, verification methods, and interface documents (ICDs/IRDs).

Responsibilities

• Own requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability for a scoped system area with some oversight.
• Produce verification and validation products, including requirements, methods, and closure evidence.
• Contribute to system safety analyses and disposition variances against team standards.
• Identify and communicate technical risks and design changes needed to close them.
• Develop technical plans for scope and support limited project planning (schedules, dependencies, effort).
• Contribute to tool and process improvements, and automate steps in requirements and V&V workflows.
• Maintain baseline in Jama/Windchill and coordinate with engineering releases.
