Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer II - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer in Tucson, AZ to develop physics-based modeling solutions for DoD Space. You will build C++ models, deploy EO/RF phenomenology, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex software and physics problems.

The role emphasizes mentorship, adoption of modeling solutions, and hands-on development within an established software product. Onsite work in Tucson is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++, C, and using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux or Apple OS or Windows command line.
• Experience in electro-optics or radar processing, Imaging EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing or discrimination algorithms.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance prior to start; U.S. citizenship required.
