Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a talented Systems Engineer to support Nuclear Effects Survivability within the Environmental Effects Engineering (EEE) organization. You will engage across the full product lifecycle, from pursuit and order capture to deployment, focusing on system functionality and robustness of mission‑critical defense systems.

The ideal candidate has prior Systems and Nuclear Survivability experience, collaborates across disciplines, analyzes data, troubleshoots issues, and implements

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Typically requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Experience in developing and managing system requirements at multiple levels (system, sub-system, LRUs).
• Experience generating technical documentation such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts of operations, requirements, and system interfaces.
• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration and verification documentation.
• Integrate hardware and software mitigations for nuclear environments into tactical systems.
• Develop integration documentation, execute plans, verify requirements and communicate results to leadership.
• Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radiation performance data to ensure system performance.
• Present technical findings and viable solutions to leadership and customers.
• Travel up to 20% to support mission execution at various locations.
