Job summary

RTX in Aurora, CO is seeking a Systems Engineer II – Modeling, Simulation & Analysis to develop high-fidelity models and simulations supporting missile design, performance assessment, and flight test activities. You will work with GNC, Signal Processing, and Software teams to drive simulation efforts and program objectives.

Required are a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, C/C++ and Python/MATLAB skills, and an active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience programming with C or C++.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience developing models or simulations for complex systems.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain SAP after start.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity models and simulations to support missile design, performance assessment, and flight test activities.
• Design, develop, and implement modeling and simulation solutions for system performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, and Software teams to execute simulations.
• Analyze simulation results and provide technical recommendations influencing architecture and design.
• Support product lifecycle from concept to fielded operations.
• Participate in technical reviews and resolve technical challenges to improve performance.
• Develop and validate simulation tools for engineering analyses and verification.
