Job summary

Raytheon, an RTX business, is seeking a Systems Engineer II to advance modeling, simulation and analysis for missile and sensor systems. The role is on-site in Aurora, CO, requiring a DoD security clearance and proficiency in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB.

You will collaborate with GNC, signal processing and software teams to build high-fidelity simulations and support program objectives. The position emphasizes lifecycle support from concept through fielded operations, along with participation in

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Experience with object-oriented programming in C and/or C++.
Proficient in Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis and modeling.
Experience developing models, simulations, or analyses for complex systems.

Responsibilities

Develop high-fidelity models and simulations for missile design and flight test activities.
Design and implement modeling and simulation solutions to evaluate performance through trade studies.
Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, and Software teams to run simulations.
Analyze results and provide recommendations affecting architecture and design decisions.
Support lifecycle activities from concept to fielded operations and verification.
Participate in technical reviews and resolve engineering challenges affecting performance.
Develop and validate simulation tools for analysis and verification.
