Waters is a global leader in analytical technologies seeking an engineering professional to develop Lab and Industrial Automation solutions in a regulated, high-volume setting. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with R&D and assay development teams to deliver robust instrument systems.

Ideal candidates will have a BS/MS in engineering or sciences, 2+ years of relevant experience, and familiarity with diagnostic support.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
Experience within vitro diagnostic support/development preferred.
Experience in the development of Lab or Industrial Automation equipment and instrumentation preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in regulated, high-volume environments.
Define design objectives and evaluation criteria for risk-based assessment and DFMEA inputs.
Contribute to programs including product conceptualization and develop work plans to move from concept to design.
Manage requirements and high-level design specifications under supervision, writing and tracing performance for specs.
Collaborate with R&D, assay development and engineering teams, guiding junior developers as needed.
Evaluate problems independently and perform development activity with minimal supervision.
