Job summary

Amentum seeks a mid-level systems engineer to support the PMX-311 program in Arlington, VA, working with the Navy CIWS, RAM, and related weapon systems. You’ll contribute to design, development, integration, test, and qualification activities.

You will provide requirements analysis, safety and E3 inputs, schedules, and coordination with cross-functional teams, while assisting MBSE adoption and agile software development support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline.
• 4–10 years engineering experience on DoD/DoW weapons programs.
• Familiarity with Navy TRM for US Navy weapon programs.
• Proficient in MS Office and strong communication and organization.
• Ability to obtain active DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to travel <10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support for design, development, production, and in-service activities.
• Contribute to safety and E3 analyses including reviews of plans and data.
• Support cross-functional planning, scheduling and funding requirements.
• Produce schedules and track milestones for program objectives.
• Draft statements of work and manage engineering task funding.
• Prepare responses to RFIs and coordinate inputs from technical community.
• Develop briefing materials and participate in TIMs and program reviews.
• Support SETR processes and MBSE development across projects.
• Assist in agile development of system software.
