Job summary

Amentum in Arlington, Virginia, seeks a mid-level systems engineer to support the PMX-311 Terminal Defense programs, including CIWS, RAM, and related systems, in design, development, integration, test and qualification activities.

You will collaborate with the RAM Deputy, Technical Director and cross-functional teams, manage schedules, track milestones, and contribute to MBSE, DevSecOps and agile development efforts while preparing briefings and technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline.
• 10+ years engineering experience with DoD/DoW weapons programs.
• Experience with Navy Missile or Weapon System programs.
• Familiarity with Navy TRM for US Navy weapon programs.
• Experience with Agile Development, MBSE and DevSecOps.
• Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support for design, development, production, and in-service activities.
• Contribute to safety and electromagnetic effects analyses and reviews.
• Manage DevSecOps, MBSE, and Agile development activities.
• Provide cross-functional engineering inputs for planning, execution and deliveries.
• Prepare schedules, track milestones, and verify requirements.
• Develop senior-level briefings and participate in PRRs and TIMs.
• Draft responses to RFIs and support system software development.
