Job summary

Amentum seeks a mid-level systems engineer to support the PMX-311 program focused on RAM and CIWS weapon systems in Arlington, VA. You will aid design, integration, testing, and qualification activities across multiple Navy programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to MBSE-driven development and agile software efforts.

The role requires DoD program experience, a STEM degree, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel is limited to under 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or related technical discipline.
• Experience with DoD/DoW weapon programs (4–10 years).
• Familiarity with Navy TRM and MBSE concepts.
• Proficiency with MS Office and strong written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support across design, development, production, and in-service activities.
• Contribute to safety and EM environment analyses and data reviews.
• Support cross-functional planning, scheduling, and funding inputs.
• Prepare and review statements of work, deliverables, and funding needs.
• Assist in MBSE adoption and agile development of system software.
