Job summary

Amentum is seeking a mid-level systems engineer to provide dedicated support to the PMX-311 Terminal Defense systems program in Arlington, VA. You will assist in planning, execution, and management of development, integration, test, and qualification for RAM and CIWS weapon systems.

Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree, 10+ years in DoD/DoW programs, experience with Navy missile programs, MBSE, DevSecOps, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel is <10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline.
• 10+ years engineering experience with DoD/DoW weapons programs.
• Prior experience with Navy Missile or Weapon System programs.
• Familiarity with the Navy TRM for US Navy weapon programs.
• Experience with Agile Development, MBSE, and DevSecOps.
• Proficient in MS Office and strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support for design, development, production, and in-service activities.
• Contribute technical inputs in Safety and EM Environment (E3) areas including plans, tests, data packages.
• Manage digital efforts including MBSE, DevSecOps, and Agile activities.
• Support PMX-311 cross-functional planning, execution, and deliveries.
• Develop schedules, track metrics, and verify requirements for program objectives.
• Assist in MBSE implementation and Agile development processes.
