Job Summary
Nightwing is seeking a System Engineer (SE) for the CODEX program, providing cyber and data operations support to mission critical customers. The role will serve as a scrum master in an agile environment and contribute to all stages of the software development product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system engineering documentation (System Engineering Plans, Initial Capability Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents).
- Manage system and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems that align with defined architecture(s).
- Assist developers in translating technical work into diagrams or other documentation.
- Coordinate resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design, program, and test reviews that require cross‑discipline coordination.
- Participate in Integrated Product Team activities to design new capabilities based on operational considerations.
- Serve as scrum master, facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring adherence to scrum practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Fourteen (14) years of systems engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (five years of additional SE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree).
- Strong understanding of agile processes, Java, Confluence, Jira, SE models, AWS, requirements engineering, and architecture design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative working style.
Security Clearance
- Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $122,000‑$253,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
