Job description

Nightwing is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems for cyber and intelligence missions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance processing‑intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, large data manipulation, real‑time systems, and business information systems.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies.
• Provide input to system design, including hardware/software trade‑offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS usage, and requirements analysis from system level to component level.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Recommend improvements to documentation and development process standards.
• Design, code, or modify software to add new features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or repositories.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Current TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or four years of additional software engineering experience can substitute).
• Experience with similar software processes.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $55,000–$106,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and expertise.
