Job summary

Amazon is seeking a cleared Systems Development Engineer to design and build automation and CI/CD pipelines for AWS Lambda and container services in isolated environments. You will reduce toil by delivering self‑service tools and automate remediation at scale.

The role emphasizes deep architectural work, reliability, and operating at scale within air‑gapped, government‑facing cloud environments. A TS/SCI clearance with poly/commensurate clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• 2+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building automation, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines for safe delivery of AWS Lambda and container services in isolated environments.
• Eliminating operational toil via self-service tools, automation, and scalable infrastructure.
• Deep-diving into service inter-dependencies and region configurations to drive permanent resolutions in code.
• Proactively identifying and resolving variances that could affect major services globally.
• Building and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and observability systems for fault tolerance.
• Collaborating with commercial teams to implement ADC-specific adaptations.
