Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a DevOps/Systems Development Engineer to own automation of operational and business processes across AWS government-facing services.

You will work on EC2 platform diagnosis, automation, and scaling to support massive infrastructure for government customers. This role requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain polygraph clearance after start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience.
• Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.

Responsibilities

• Own automating operational and business practices and identify and resolve issues; automate repetitive processes.
• Dive deep into system architecture and code to develop scalable solutions for AWS customers and services.
• Design and build automation to scale the platform and measure impact on government services.
