Job summary

Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) seeks a cleared Systems Development Engineer to advance serverless and container solutions for U.S. Government agencies.

You will work on AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS, ECR, and Fargate in air-gapped environments, driving reliability and scalable automation across global services. You will design and implement automation, monitor systems, and reduce toil while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building automation, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines for safe, continuous delivery of Lambda and container services into isolated environments.
• Eliminating operational toil through self-service tools, automation, and scalable infrastructure.
• Diving deep into service inter-dependencies and configurations to find root causes and fix them in code.
• Identifying and addressing variances that could affect major services globally before customer impact.
• Building and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and observability systems for fault tolerance.
• Collaborating with commercial service teams to implement ADC-specific adaptations.
