Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Systems Administrator II to maintain and secure enterprise IT infrastructure across servers, storage, and endpoints. You will work with senior staff to ensure high availability, perform routine maintenance, and support on-call coverage.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in IT infrastructure, experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and disaster recovery, and strong problem-solving and communication skills to support a global user base.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory in enterprise environments.
• Experience with virtualization such as VMware.
• Backup, storage, and disaster recovery technologies knowledge.
• Basic networking concepts knowledge.
• Endpoint management and mobile device support familiarity.
• IT security best practices and ability to follow established controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow processes and work with IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows-based servers and infrastructure, physical and virtual.
• Create and maintain user accounts and security in Active Directory.
• Support backup and recovery processes to ensure availability and integrity.
• Monitor performance, availability, and alerts; troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Support VMware virtualization and routine maintenance.
• Maintain enterprise email systems and distribution lists.
• Support endpoint devices and management tools.
• Assist with system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Support infrastructure projects under guidance of senior admins.
• Follow IT standards and procedures for consistency and compliance.
• Assist with audit, compliance, and documentation requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support.
