Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced IT infrastructure professional to provide technical leadership and serve as an escalation point for critical incidents. The role focuses on designing and maintaining secure, high-performing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure across defined platforms.

• 7+ years’ experience in administrating and managing enterprise server systems including cloud and/or virtual solutions.
• Strong knowledge and experience with PC hardware and software technology, including operating systems.
• Expertise with Server operating systems and services including Windows 2008/2012/2016, DNS, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
• Experience with O365, Exchange Online, Azure and Intune.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and serve as escalation point for critical incidents, including resolution and post-incident analysis.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned platforms and lead infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and proactively identify risks and opportunities for optimization, automation, and efficiency.
• Design, support, and enhance modern cloud services including Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, and security platforms.
• Apply automation and scripting to improve consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, security, application teams, and business stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs, security, and budget.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, and documentation.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level system administrators; support onboarding, skill development, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Independence, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
