Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Systems Administrator in Rapid City, SD to install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems and provide help desk support to users. The role requires active TS/SCI eligibility (US citizenship) and Security+ CE certification, plus hands-on Windows 11 and Windows Server 2016/2019 experience.

You will work within multi-user client/server environments and participate in root-cause analyses and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain; US citizenship required.
• Security+ CE certification.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II training.
• 2–4 years IT and Windows OS experience.
• System or network administration skills for workstations/networks.
• Knowledge of network topology, standards, and protocols.
• Experience administering Windows 11 and Windows Server 2016/2019.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting desktops, servers, and networks.
• Participate in installation/administration of local systems using multiple protocols and tools.
• Write detailed technical problem reports and perform root-cause analyses.
• Install, upgrade, and administer Windows 11 and server OSes in multi-user environments.
• Provide IT help desk support to users.
• Perform other related duties as directed.
