Job summary

Houston Food Bank is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure, including endpoints, AD/Azure AD, and Microsoft 365. You will handle onboarding, offboarding, and support all users while maintaining security and compliance in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to improve reliability and efficiency across systems. This on-site position supports collaboration technologies and IT operations for a diverse user

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting users in an enterprise environment.
• 3-5 years hands-on with Active Directory (hybrid preferred), Microsoft 365, Windows, and networking basics.
• Experience with Zendesk or similar ticketing systems; RBAC, SSO/MFA, and ITIL/SLA concepts.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud services, Intune, and AV/conference room systems.

Responsibilities

• Endpoint & device management: provisioning, configuring, deploying, imaging, patching, and inventory.
• Identity & access management: AD/Azure AD, group membership, permissions, MFA, and account lifecycle.
• Onboarding & offboarding: create accounts, provision devices, and secure deactivation and asset recovery.
• AV & collaboration technology: support Teams/Zoom rooms and related AV equipment.
• Systems ownership & operations: document SOPs and improve automation and user experience.
• Desktop support: first line resolution, hardware/software setup, security/compliance adherence.
