Job summary

Booth & Associates is seeking a Systems Administrator to support Microsoft 365 services, Windows Server environments, virtualization, networking, and endpoint computing across multiple offices. You will be the primary IT resource for the Charlotte area and collaborate with the corporate IT team on infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in IT operations, strong problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with AD, VMware/Proxmox, PowerShell, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in IT fields.
• 3+ years in technical support, systems administration, or similar.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365.
• Working knowledge of AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking.
• Experience with production virtualization (VMware or Proxmox).
• Mid-level PowerShell experience for admin tasks.
• Strong customer service, written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently at a remote office and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure.
• Maintain virtualization platforms, including VMware and Proxmox; monitor backups and security.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and diagnose complex IT issues across multiple offices.
• Provision and deploy workstations and user accounts; manage inventories.
• Create SOPs and technical documentation for IT processes and policies.
