Our team in Linthicum, MD, is looking for a Linux/Windows Systems Administrator to support classified government projects. This is an on-site position, not remote.

1. Perform as a Linux/Redhat systems administrator for classified government contracts.
2. Perform as a Windows Systems Administrator for classified government contracts.
3. Maintain smooth operation of all computer infrastructure in a multi-user environment, coordinating with various engineers, security officers, technicians, and management.
4. Analyze customer requirements and determine equipment and software needs.
5. Recommend and implement system enhancements for performance and reliability.
6. Provide backup, recovery, data storage management, and malware protection.
7. Create and maintain user and computer accounts, modify permissions, and security access.
8. Test new product releases for compatibility and minimal user impact.
9. Develop and document technical processes and procedures.
10. Make hardware and software purchase recommendations.
11. Interact with vendors for troubleshooting and evaluation.
12. Adhere to security guidelines, deploy STIGs, and develop POA&Ms for vulnerabilities.
13. Understand vulnerability mitigation per RMF & DoD JSIG standards.
14. Maintain security logs and prepare security documentation.
15. Report project status as required.
16. Work independently to develop solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or Associate's with 4 years, or High School diploma with 6 years of experience.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
• Experience managing Redhat Enterprise Linux OS in a classified environment.
• Experience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture in a classified environment.
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs and vulnerability mitigation.
• Current DoD Secret security clearance or enrolled in CE Program, maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs within 9 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in IT with 2+ years Linux, Windows, and VMWare server administration in JSIG classified environment.
• Experience with NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, JSIG environments.
• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining hardware, networking knowledge, Cisco certification, Windows AD, LDAP, SAN, Solaris OS, scripting, and system imaging.
• Experience with Certification & Accreditation, DoD 8570 Certification, and active Top Secret clearance.
