Job summary

Texas A&M University System Offices seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead HR strategy and governance across the System. You will advise executive leadership on workforce initiatives, compensation, benefits, and talent management, while ensuring legal and policy compliance.

The CHRO will oversee HR programs, risk management, and learning with broad collaboration across autonomous System members. A strong background in executive leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15+ years in HR leadership roles.
• Executive or senior leadership experience (7–10+ years) required.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide HR strategy and programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for HR programs, policies and initiatives.
• Advise executive leadership on workforce strategy, compensation and benefits.
• Oversee system-wide HR governance balancing consistency with member needs.
• Lead talent acquisition, performance management, and learning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and System rules.
