Job summary

Texas A&M International University seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to serve as the university’s senior HR executive and strategic advisor to the Vice President for Finance & Administration.

You will lead a comprehensive human resources program that attracts, develops, engages, and retains a high-quality workforce while advancing the university’s priorities and ensuring compliance with laws and system regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible HR leadership experience.
  • Five years leading professional HR staff.
  • Experience in organizational development and leading compensation programs.
  • Experience managing organizational change and advising executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Advises executive leadership on workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness.
  • Leads enterprise-wide workforce planning initiatives.
  • Serves as advisor to executive leadership on organizational change.
  • Presents HR initiatives to executive leadership and, when appropriate, President and Board of Regents.

Job Description: The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) serves as the University'ssenior human resources executive and strategic advisor to the VicePresident for Finance & Administration/Chief Financial Officeron all matters related to human capital management. The CHRO provides visionary leadership for a comprehensive humanresources program that attracts, develops, engages, and retains ahighly qualified workforce while advancing the University'sstrategic priorities and ensuring compliance with applicablefederal and state laws, Texas A&M University SystemRegulations, and University Rules. This executive leads a customer-focused Human Resourcesorganization committed to operational excellence, continuousimprovement, innovation, and exceptional service while helpingposition Texas A&M International University as an employer ofchoice.
