Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an experienced IT professional to support and optimize production systems across Windows, Linux, and hybrid infrastructure. You will analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure availability and performance.

Responsibilities include leading incident resolution, deploying automated configurations with BigFix, and mentoring the Production Support team while aligning with enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a job-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 years of technical experience with systems analysis, design, programming, or related IT experience.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.
• Not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications across Windows, Linux, and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management.
• Experience in healthcare, regulated, or highly compliant environments preferred.

• Analyze new or revised processes and change requests.
• Collaborate with internal groups and external vendors to ensure specs are met and problems are resolved.
• Participate in development of custom integration solutions.
• Review and research issues reported by customers.
• Evaluate project interrelationships and effects of program changes or installations.
• Participate in work sessions for quality and production implementations, releases, data conversion, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Attend implementation meetings to assess system availability impacts and team resource assignments.
• Analyze and design technical solutions based on business requirements.
• Act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
• Answer questions and provide training for the Production Support team.
• Perform installations, configuration, analysis, scheduling, and tuning on complex projects.
• Ensure Production and Test environments are operational.
• Perform corrective actions to resolve applications that end abnormally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in a job-related field, or an additional 4 years of job-related work experience, or Associate's plus an additional 2 years of job-related work experience


• 6 years of technical experience with systems analysis, design, programming, or other job-related IT experience


• Security clearance requiring U.S. Citizenship


• Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance


• Position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future


• Understanding of data storage techniques, database philosophy, database management, and complex programming techniques


• In-depth understanding of production system maintenance requirements and the effects of program changes


• Knowledge of structured techniques in new program development


• Comprehensive understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies


• Knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development/productivity tools


• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team


• Experience supporting enterprise applications across Windows, Linux, and hybrid infrastructure environments preferred


• Experience developing automated software deployment and configuration packages using endpoint management platforms such as BigFix preferred


• Experience supporting audit, compliance, and risk management initiatives preferred


• Experience integrating tool data into enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Splunk, and Power BI preferred


• Knowledge of SQL and experience extracting, validating, and analyzing operational data preferred


• Experience supporting application availability, incident management, root cause analysis, and production support in a 24x7 enterprise environment preferred


• Security+, Network+, Linux+, Splunk, Microsoft, or other infrastructure/security-related certifications preferred


• Experience with ITIL practices and service management processes preferred


• Prior experience supporting healthcare, regulated, or highly compliant environments preferred
