Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a System Safety & Reliability Engineer to join our Indianapolis, IN team. The role blends safety and reliability analysis with multi-domain modeling to ensure robust product operation under challenging conditions.

You will develop models of degradation and failure and apply probabilistic methods across components, subsystems, and fleets. Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree with 1+ years of relevant experience and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in math, actuarial science or engineering.
• 1+ year of relevant experience; or higher degree.

Responsibilities

• Understand degradation and failure mechanisms; develop models using deterministic or probabilistic/data mining techniques.
• Assess design solutions; deploy models at component, system, asset and fleet levels; support classifications.
• Support product development phases with FHA, FMECA, System Safety Assessment.
• Support FRACAS and Reliability initiatives in service phases.
