Job summary

Rolls-Royce is hiring a System Safety & Reliability Engineer in the United States, with work locations in Indianapolis, IN or Novi, MI. This full-time role focuses on understanding and mitigating product hazards while ensuring reliability under challenging conditions.

You will model degradation, perform probabilistic safety assessments, and support product development with Safety & Reliability analyses across components and fleets.

Qualifications

• Basic requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Engineering with 1+ years of experience, or a Master’s/PhD in the same fields.
• This role involves safety and reliability engineering tasks across design, development, and maintenance.
• Candidate must be a US citizen to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Understand product degradation and failure mechanisms to eliminate or reduce hazards.
• Develop and deploy models at component, system, asset, and fleet levels for safety and reliability.
• Support Safety & Reliability analysis and documentation (FHA, FMECA, System Safety Assessment).
• Support FRACAS and Reliability initiatives in development and service phases.
