Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a System Safety and Reliability Engineer to ensure safety and reliability attributes across product lifecycles. The role requires cross-disciplinary collaboration, modeling of complex systems, and leadership in safety assessments.

You will develop and deploy safety models, support in-service issues, and contribute to risk reduction through deterministic and probabilistic analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Engineering, or higher.
• US citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
• Experience or capability in safety and reliability engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and reliability assessments across lifecycle stages.
• Model degradation and failure mechanisms using probabilistic methods.
• Lead FRACAS activities and institute lessons learned.
• Coordinate safety documentation (FHA, FMECA, SSA, TLD, etc.).
• Collaborate across component, sub-system and system levels.
