Job summary

RTX is hiring a System Safety Engineer II for onsite work across multiple US locations including Woburn, Marlborough, and Andover. You will implement system safety/HSI strategies, participate in IMS and cross-IPT coordination, and report hazards and mitigations.

A STEM degree with at least two years of related experience is required, plus DoD safety awareness and communication skills. Responsibilities include risk assessment, technical writing, and collaboration with Systems, Software,

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with risk assessment concepts and safety analyses.
Experience creating technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

Execute the safety strategy for the program to meet milestones with system safety/HSI features.
Integrate safety tasks into the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Engage senior engineers for guidance on technical execution and reviews.
Support multi-IPT program meetings to address safety items and issues.
Ensure leadership understands safety requirements, hazards, and mitigations.
Meet internal/external commitments and ensure deliveries.
Own technical solutions and collaborate across IPTs to enable successful development and testing.
