Raytheon is hiring a System Safety Engineer II for an onsite role across multiple MA locations. You will drive system safety features, align with the IMS schedule, and ensure hazard mitigation for mission-critical programs.

Collaboration with IPTs and leadership is essential to deliver safe hardware and software solutions. Qualified candidates typically hold a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of risk assessment, and strong technical writing skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with risk assessment concepts.
• Experience with creating technical reports, technical writing and/or creating presentations.

Responsibilities

• Execute the safety strategy for the program and integrate system safety features.
• Support the program IMS schedule and integrated system safety tasks.
• Engage the Lead System Safety Engineer for guidance on execution and artifact review.
• Support multi-IPT program meetings to ensure system safety items are considered.
• Ensure leadership understands system safety requirements, hazards, and mitigations.
• Meet internal and external commitments (deliveries).
• Own technical solutions and collaborate across IPTs to realize the solution.
