Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a System Safety Engineer II for an onsite role that can be located in Woburn, Tewksbury, Marlborough, Andover or Portsmouth RI. U.S.

citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance are required; active clearance is needed after day 1. You will execute the safety strategy to meet milestones, integrate system safety features, support the IMS schedule, engage leads for guidance, participate in multi-IPT program meetings, and own technical solutions across IPTs to

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with risk assessment concepts.
• Experience creating technical reports, writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Execute the safety strategy for the program to meet milestones with system safety features integrated into the product.
• Support the program IMS schedule and integrated system safety tasks and activities.
• Engage the Lead System Safety Engineer and Portfolio Engineering Lead for guidance on execution and artifact review.
• Support multi-IPT program meetings to ensure system safety items are considered.
• Ensure program leadership understands system safety requirements, hazards, and planned mitigations.
• Meet internal and external commitments (deliveries).
• Own technical solutions and collaborate across IPTs to realize the final product development and test.
