Job Details
The System Manager - Specialty Pharmacy will work together with client pharmacy leadership to ensure coordination, optimization, and growth of the specialty pharmacy program system-wide. This includes management of the in-clinic navigator team, coordination of in-clinic processes with central and regional pharmacies, communication with key client leadership stakeholders, and ongoing process improvement.

Responsibilities:
- Direct oversight and performance management of in-clinic navigators
- Coordination of the activity of the central support team with the in-clinic navigators and provider clinic staff
- Prescription capture optimization and process improvement management of the specialty prescription workflow between key players
- Provide guidance and best practices for regional pharmacies
- Oversee the acquisition of clinical data to support quality initiatives, product access, and accreditation standards
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators for client leadership
- Conduct business reviews, staffing assessments, ROI reporting, and service optimization with key client stakeholders
- Drive expansion of current programs and identify growth opportunities
- Support development, integration, accreditation, and growth of the centralized specialty pharmacy
- Support pharmacy specialty accreditation activities and maintenance
- Assist in optimizing pharmacy class of trade and purchasing
- Work with client leadership on 340b processes related to specialty pharmacy
- Coordinate efforts to maximize payor and manufacturer access to specialty drugs
- Identify opportunities to integrate high-cost, non-specialty medications into the client fulfillment model
- Assist with budget development, financial analysis, and ROI development
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the outpatient specialty pharmacy program
- Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new hires at client sites
- Coordinate team schedules for optimal coverage
- Perform related duties as assigned
Education:
- PharmD with a license in good standing
- 3+ years in specialty pharmacy practice
- 3+ years of management experience (multi-site preferred)
- Experience in health system-based specialty pharmacy preferred
- Experience in retail or ambulatory clinic settings is a plus
- Ability to travel locally to client sites
- Postgraduate residency or clinical certification is a plus
- Relevant experience or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management is a plus

- Understanding of the specialty pharmacy landscape, accreditation standards, and clinical knowledge of disease states
- Knowledge of prior authorization, patient assistance, industry trends, and pharmacy workflow
- Familiarity with 340b programs, pharmacy finances, and regulatory standards
