Project Manager - Healthcare - Remote

Apply via Lensa to join AssistRx, a leader in healthcare software solutions. The Project Manager will be part of the PMO Team, reporting to the Director of Program Management. Responsibilities include managing client software implementations from start to finish, working closely with internal teams (Business Analysts, Development, QA, Sales, Leadership), and maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires a detail-oriented, flexible individual with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, especially in a technical environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage client communications and expectations effectively.
  • Serve as the primary contact and trusted advisor during implementation.
  • Define projects, execute tasks, coordinate staffing, and monitor results.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions.
  • Gather complete and accurate business requirements as a subject matter expert.
  • Coordinate across teams and collaborate with Product Management to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Present project updates to executive leadership.
  • Ensure documentation reflects client needs, including business requirements, user stories, wireframes, and test plans.
  • Manage issues, risks, and changes using established processes.
  • Coordinate effort estimations, plan milestones, and prioritize tasks.
  • Coordinate training for team members.
Requirements
  • Deep technical skills including understanding of sFTP, APIs, file formats, GUIDs, integrations, and HTML.
  • Experience with SaaS or enterprise software implementations.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, or related industries.
  • Experience consulting for external clients.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision, high ethical standards, strong data and business analysis skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years managing complex software projects, with client-facing experience.
  • Agile experience and industry-specific knowledge preferred.
  • Strong presentation, organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
