Job summary

Arizona Public Service is seeking a System Health Engineer II to join our asset management and maintenance support organization. This role focuses on applying maintenance best practices, asset analytics, and evaluating performance to maximize equipment life both inside and outside substations.

You will collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to make data-driven recommendations that optimize asset performance across our power system.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution (or equivalent) plus two years of engineering-related experience.
• Approved engineer degrees include Materials Science/Metallurgy, Physics, Chemistry, Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, Computer Science, Environmental, Chemical, or Structural.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data, perform reviews and trend analyses to aid decision making.
• Identify technical concerns and ensure engineering quality, cost effectiveness, compliance with standards and regulations.
• Interface with customers or cross-organizational teams to assess needs and determine project scope.
• Oversee engineering programs, coordinate corrective actions to maintain healthy program elements.
• Support projects and modifications to increase operating efficiency and reliability in the power system.
