Job summary

Arizona Public Service seeks a System Health Engineer II to join its asset management and maintenance support organization. You will evaluate equipment health, identify performance issues, and develop strategies to enhance reliability and longevity of critical electrical assets across the power system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related applied science from an ABET-accredited or equivalent institution plus two years of related work experience.
• Approved engineering degrees include Materials Science/Metallurgy, Physics, Chemistry, Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, Computer Science, Environmental, Chemical, Structural. (Engineering Technology degree requires curriculum review).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare data, technical reviews and evaluations to aid decision making.
• Identify, communicate and advocate resolution of technical concerns while upholding engineering principles.
• Interface with customers or cross-organizational teams to assess needs and data for decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers.
• Support projects and modifications to increase operating efficiency and ensure compliance with designs and regulations.
• May manage small- to medium-scale projects from planning through scheduling.
• Stay cognizant of current technology and engineering developments.
