Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a System Engineer to drive the technical vision for Silent Sentinel deployments, integrating complex surveillance with customer networks. You will design end-to-end systems, serve as a trusted advisor, and lead demonstrations while coordinating with management, subcontractors, and support teams.

The role requires 3+ years in Field Service or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to travel 50% to 75% to customer sites, with CJIS security considerations

Qualifications

• High School diploma, Bachelor’s Degree OR 3+ years of experience in one of: Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, IT, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems.
• Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and deploy mission-critical video surveillance and network systems tailored to customer and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, document, and articulate video surveillance system architectures, ensuring compatibility with network capacity, scope of work (SOW), and customer specifications.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to internal and external stakeholders, communicating key technological capabilities and value propositions.
• Conduct product testing, lead technical demonstrations, and implement system modifications following change control procedures.
• Partner closely with project management, subcontractors, and Motorola Technical Support to drive post-sales execution and meet milestones.
• Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and adhere to company standards and code of conduct.
